SOUTHINGTON YOUTH SUMMER THEATER 2009

      Southington Youth Summer Theater is currently accepting registration for its 2009 season.  Registration packets are available

at the Parks and Recreation Office in Town Hall and must be returned by Friday, March 27th.

      The Footlights program is open to students entering grades 7 & 8 and the Spotlights program is open to students enter grade 9 thru 12.  Both programs will have auditions in early June and will begin immediately after school ends.  The Footlights program is slated to run five weeks with permformances on July 23 and 24.  The Spotlights will run six weeks and the performance will be held on July 30 and 31. In the event of low registration or budget cuts, both programs will be combined and will perform on July 30 and 31st.  The program cost for the Footlights program is $125 and the Spotlights program is $150 which is due payable at registration.  There will be a discound for families with more than one child in the program and scholarships are available.

     The Summer Theater JUNIOR program is open for students entering grades 2 - 6.  The Junior program fee is $50 and the program will run from June 29 - July 20 at Dance City and the Arts.  A culminating performance will be held the evening of July 10.

    Registration for all programs will be accepted on a first come, first served basis and there may be a wait list if the program is minimized.  For further information, please contact Lisa Carrol, Program Coordinator, at Leese626@aol.com or call the Parks and Recreation office at 276-6219.  The Parks and Recreation Office is open from 8:30 - 12:00 and 1:30 - 4:30 Monday thru Friday.
